The beautiful Machangulo peninsula is an unspoilt African wilderness situated in the Southern most part of Mozambique adjacent to Inhaca and Portuguese Islands in the Bay of Maputo. It has a land area of thousands of hectares and has over 20 kilometres of cinnamon colored sand beaches on the warm Indian Ocean. Within the peninsula are twelve substantial lakes and a vast territory of natural indigenous bush. The coastline falls within a marine reserve protecting endangered turtles and is flanked by the calmness of the bay on the Western side, the wildness of the Indian Ocean on the East and a major safari game reserve to the South. The estate’s private and exclusive landing strip is just 20 minutes flight from Maputo, the capital of Mozambique. Alternately a private boat charter of around 1 hour can be arranged.
At Vista Abril you decide your own pace from relaxing beach life through to exciting water sports and with all the unspoiled nature there are plenty of opportunities for viewing the protected wildlife whether it is spotting dolphins and whales, going for a safari game drive or just observing the monkeys and bird life from the pool deck.
